She is a resident of Waxhaw where she lives with her husband, three children (all red-heads), dog (Malone), cats (Sweet Snow Spot and Ty), and horse (Gryffindor). Dr. Meyers’ special interests are internal medicine, geriatric medicine, critical care, ultrasound, feline medicine, and acupuncture. She is a member of the AVMA, NCVMA, IVAS, and AAFP, and Fear Free certified. Dr. Meyers graduated with honors from Tufts University of Verterinary Medicine in 2002. Dr. Meyers also has been trained in eastern medicine and acupuncture and believes that acupuncture can complement traditional medicine in some areas, especially pain management.
Dr. Meyers is active with Christian Veterinary Mission, and recently participated in a veterinary mission trip Haiti. Dr. Meyers is a member of Union United Methodist Church, works with the Common Cupboard Food Pantry in Waxhaw, and often can be found giving the children’s sermon.
