Dr. Jessica Cooper

Dr. Jessica Cooper graduated with honors from Kansas State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010.

Dr. Jessica Cooper is the newest member of Carolina Pets’ brilliant and experienced team. A 2010 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Cooper also completed a small animal internship at the prestigious Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington D.C. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Cooper graduated with honors from George Mason University, working her way through as a veterinary assistant and managing a 17-horse barn full-time!

By the age of 5, Dr. Cooper knew she loved animals and wanted to be a veterinarian. This is even more true today. She is a member of both the AVMA and AAHA, and is Fear Free certified. Dr. Cooper has an extensive background in emergency and critical care. Her other interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, preventative care, geriatrics, and long-term management of chronic disease.

Dr. Cooper and her husband are the proud parents of a very active toddler, and live on a busy farm in Monroe. Both Dr. Cooper and her husband are vegan and care for their abundant animals: dogs, cats, horses, pigs, ducks, a mule, a goat, and a rooster named Beavis!

Much of Dr. Cooper’s time is spent with family, working, and caring for her many critters. Additional interests include running, crossfit and pilates. Dr. Cooper has overcome medical issues of her own, and is looking forward to continued health via diet, exercise and positive energy!
