Dr. Katie O’Hara grew up in North Carolina and is a 2009 graduate of North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a 1-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Animal Medical Hospital in Charlotte, NC. During her internship, Dr. O’Hara learned from and worked with Dr. Meyers and Dr. Broel; and respected the quality of medicine these veterinarians provided to their patients.
She enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, but is especially interested in geriatric pet care, managing chronic medical and endocrine diseases, soft tissue surgery, and preventive medicine. Being a trusted member of her patient’s care team is a priority to her. Dr. O’Hara also has a Master’s degree from The Ohio State University in Veterinary Preventive Medicine.
When she is not at the clinic, Dr. O’Hara enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, baking, hiking with her dogs, and volunteering in the community and at her church
